Pin of the Month - September

My Pin of the Month for September is a little hard to give you any information about due to it being a Japanese company, with a Japanese written website.. However, you don't need to understand the language to appreciate the beautifully designed bottles from 'Moogy'. 

 I am in love with the beautiful hand drawn illustrations on the side of the bottles. There is a large range of different illustrations, each as pretty as the other. They are very feminine, with pastel colours and a lean towards nature themes with floral patterns and leaves. I like the mix of line and block colour, with a screen print style effect of misaligned colours. The use of pattern layered on top of block colours also works really well to create a less flat image.

The way the bottles are advertised ties in the beautiful patterns. The mix of photography with the illustration layered on top gives a more 3D image, creating a fashionable, fun and relatable product to the young female audience. It plays on one of my favourite techniques of using layers of handmade imagery along with digital techniques, creating a contemporary look. If I saw these bottles on the shelf, they would be the first thing I would pick up!
