Packaging Workshop w/Springetts

The best part of a hand in is having all the pressures of work lifted off your shoulders and being able to play again. We did just that when Sue from Springetts, an award winning branding and packaging agency in London, came to visit us. After a really interesting presentation about their work and how to grow a brand with 'brand love', we were set on the task to create ideas for a fun packaging design. We were given a few words as a starting point and got into teams, with only a few hours to bounce ideas off of one another and create a mock up.

Starting with 'playful' and 'cheeky', we had the idea of using a teat from a baby bottle to replicate a cows udder. The box could include 4 different flavours of milk from each udder, and could keep the milk fresher for longer as they wouldn't all be opened straight away. We wanted a long rectangle to replicate the shape of the cow, and created a box for the bottom so the cow shape could stand up, looking like a cow stood in the grass. We also included the curved shape of the box by scoring and folding in semi circles on each edge, giving it a modern and unusual shape.

It turned out to be a fun workshop, and we were really happy everyone laughed at our idea! Thanks Springetts!
