Okay Ladies, Now Let's Get in Formation

My weekend has been spent in London to see the Queen herself. No, I haven't been to Buckingham Palace, but to Wembley Stadium to see BEYONCÉ!

Yoncé haters please step back, I have nothing but praise for this girl. My calves ache, my neck is stiff and my back needs a good massage, but it was all worth it. From Formation to Halo, everything in between was perfect - she sounds just as she does on the cd, plus her and her amazing dancers made the night one big party.

Although I love dancing and singing along to B’s music, it’s not just the tune that makes me love her. Listen to the lyrics, listen to what she is saying between songs, and you realise what an amazing and strong woman she is. A massive worldwide superstar loved by all surely cant be surprised by the fact 90,000 people know every single word to her songs? Yep - still humble.

It’s her personality that makes her the superstar she is. Her and her songs represent every side to every woman. We all have the days where we want to love and be loved, we have days we feel sexy and fun, we feel angry and broken. Every day we feel different. Things happen that make us feel and react, or our moods just change. Even Beyonce has her off days, and she's not afraid to show it. She is a feminist’s idol.


My favourite side is Bad Bitch Beyonce - playing ‘Don’t Hurt Yourself’ and ‘Ring the Alarm’ back to back got me shouting at every person/male who has ever annoyed me. She makes you feel powerful, a strong woman who can do what she wants. We need these songs to get us through the bad days. Been played by a boy? Yonce. Disrespected by a boss? Yonce. Sometimes you have to be selfish and look after number one.

She makes me proud to be a female. Cherish female relationships - your mum, sister, best friend. They'll help you more than any guy will. They will always have your back, but they'll tell you when you're wrong too. That’s not to say every girl should hate guys - totally the opposite. Beyonce has her strong family with Jay and Blue, and the videos of this through the tour reminds you that some things are worth fighting for.

Girls, you are allowed to be weak. You are allowed to love a man. You are allowed to have a night in, just as much as you are allowed to go out and party. You're allowed to have sex and be sexy. You’re allowed to be angry and upset. Every emotion you feel is valued, or should be, by the people around you. You are not just a woman, you are a human. Not everything you do is right, but you grown and learn.

Beyonce’s appeal is that she is just a normal girl, we can all relate to her songs and have felt what she was feeling. She accepts everyone, and works hard to get what she wants. And this is why she is my Queen 👑
