Hello July!

1) Blog redesign - Hello!! Welcome to my newly refurbished version of louisegyles.blogspot.com! I've currently got a lot of spare time on my hands, and thought why not use it to start up my blog again. I've given it a bit of a makeover to make me more motivated to post, so keep a look out for regular posts about design, travel, and life.. basically anything and everything that inspires me! Hope you enjoy :)

2) Finishing first year - the reason for all of my spare time - finishing my first year at university! I'm happy to walk away with a high 2:2 in my practical module, and high 2:1 for the essay, now to enjoy summer so I'm refreshed to work twice as hard next year!

3) End of term - I handed in a few weeks before everyone else, so this meant my final week at university was full of fun around Nottingham! I got to see everyone for the last time before summer, so that meant lots of food and drink, and way too much money spent, but I don't regret it! My top places were an amazing pizza at Wildwood, and of course my favourite club night at Rock City - check them out!

4) England vs Wales - We spent a family weekend at Twickenham, London, watching England vs Wales play Rugby Union. It's always such a fun day out, the atmosphere before hand just makes me smile! And of course it made it even better that England won!

5) Spain - Me, my sister and my dad headed to Spain for a summer holiday after uni finished, a lovely relaxing week. It was so nice to spend lots of time with my family again! Keep an eye on my blog for more..

6) Us by David Nicholls - I always get stuck into a book on holiday, and this trip was Us, by the same author of One Day (if you haven't seen the film with Anne Hathaway in, go watch it!). I'm still on my way to finishing, but so far it's doing a great job at making me want to go interrailing around Europe like, now.

7) Love Island - please don't judge me, I never usually watch this sort of program, but I have just got addicted to this years Love Island! It probably has something to do with that spare time I was talking about, but I just love the drama!

8) Catfish and the Bottlemen The Ride - I downloaded Catfish's new album before holiday, and I'd hate to know how many times it has been listened to since then. It has the same style to their first album, so if you're a fan of bands like Arctic Monkeys or The 1975, definitely go have a listen!
